Hillington Park Church, Glasgow

Rev John MacGregor and his family along with Ken and Jan Blackie (Session Clerk of HP) visited Uganda last year to attend Watoto (Childcare Conference for orphaned children with HIV in Kampala).

When they were there they met Rita Nkemba executive director of a charity called Dwelling Places which cares for 238 needy children. They saw her work first hand and were so impressed that they knew that they were being led to start a partnership with Dwelling Places.

The partnership was formed and Rita has been over to Glasgow to meet the congregation at Hillington Park.

When she was in Scotland, she attended the WwW seminar on "making videos" and she has now back in Uganda training up other people on how to make videos and then to send them to Scotland.

John sees this as being a useful tool in strengthening the partnership with Dwelling Places and he says that the partnership is at very early stages but with the help of WwW it will soon become much stronger. 

Hillington Park also has a vision of making one of their small halls into a resource room for the project where WwW would become a reality for their church and community.
