THE PRESIDENT’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD ( PIA ) – THE GAMBIA

PARTNERSHIPPING WITH THE CHURCH OF SCOTLAND
ON THE PROJECT:- TOGETHER FOR A CHANGE ( TFC )
PIA is a self-dependent non-governmental, whose aim is to bring together adults and young people from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. The organisation provides vocational skills like carpentry, metal working, IT training, home science and secretarial courses to the people within the programme. Trained people are then helped to find employment through contacts developed by the PIA public relations’ department. Alternatively, some funds are also available for graduate to start up a self reliant enterprise for self sustenance.
The target audience of the PIA are orphans, widows, and aged people who otherwise will not have any alternative in life for a formidable future and life time career.
The Grand patron of PIA is The Gambian President HE Alh.,Dr. A.J.J.Jammeh.
