The Proyecto Angel ( Angel Tree Project) aims to provide help and support to children of people in prison. In the case of Oruro, Bolivia, some of these children live in the prison together with their parents. University students, working as volunteers come into the prison to help the children with homework, emotional support and everyday issues.  Their aim is to create a helpful and supportive environment where children can grow up and experience as normal a life as possible within their circumstances.

The project supports the sale of arts and crafts done by parents. The generated funds help support a yearly vacation outing for the children. This outing is usually to the countryside in order to provide much needed relaxation, a contact with nature and a change of environment for children who call prison their home....
